For fox-sake, another debate!

Based on the success of my column that appeared in the Boston Standard before Christmas I have been asked if I will participate in another debate on fox-hunting.

Of course I happily obliged as I am sure you may know by now this is a debate I love to get involved in and will happily talk for hours about.

I am travelling down to the venue tomorrow where the show is being pre-recorded and am rather looking forward to it.

For obvious reasons I can't mention too much information now but I will reveal all when I can.

Exciting new sponsorship from Born and Bred clothing - Charles James Fox

I was absolutely thrilled last week when I was poorly to receive the news from Patrick James, owner and creator of Born & Bred clothing that he would like me to be a mentor to all of his sponsored young riders.

It was news that I was hoping I would receive after having had my fingers crossed for quite some time since putting my name forward earlier this year.

I am so lucky to have been given this chance to be a dressage mentor and hope to share my tips and competition experience I have gained over the years with riders who need it. One thing I hope to show is that everyone has their bad days with horses, but not everyday is the same. You always need to be prepared to pick yourself back up, get back on and go try your best; in any sphere.

Why I love fox-hunting...

With opening meets due to take place in the next couple of weeks all over the country, it can only mean that it is the season for fox-hunting again.

What do you think about it? Are you for or against? Or maybe you don't really have an opinion?

 "Before you judge, give a sparing thought to farmers that lose money and business from foxes killing or wounding their livelihood; chickens, cows and sheep.
Foxes are vermin that kill farmer’s livestock for fun. Imagine that farmer’s livelihood is all I have mentioned above.
Think that if a fox destroyed most of it, how would he put food on the table for his family? How would he provide?
Hunters are trying to protect the livestock of the farming community. Shooting the foxes can lead to a slow and painful death that isn’t as humane as allowing a foxhound to get it."
